Liberals: The Proxy Conservative Government.
Liberal “positioning,” in regards to the throne speech, is absurd, to put it politely. It is fucking ridiculous, to put it truthfully.
Let’s dissect the “game” they are playing to see if it makes any sense whatsoever.
The Conservatives are comfortable. The Liberals are not. The Liberals are lame; They have an opportunity to voice real concerns and to make a statement but they do not because they have nothing to say.
The reason the Liberals are lagging in the polls and in support is because they have nothing to stand on or to stand by. A bill written with the intent to fail is not an attempt to say anything. Its sole purpose is to demonstrate that it has no credibility.
The Liberals, rather than playing their cards and showing that they have something to offer, are re-demonstrating that everything they do is for control and power, and not for the Canadian people.
It may be argued that the real way for the Liberals to serve Canadians is to be in power but they have no way of garnering up the support. When they have the soap-box they say that they will not force an election but will abstain from voting. When they are holding the microphone they simply say that Canadians do not want an election.
Let me make this fucking clear: If Canadians do not want an election then they do not want the Liberals in power. And if they do not want the Liberals in power then maybe the message of the Liberals is not one which has any traction.
So let’s give the Liberals the mic, they can tell us what we want, then they can present it to Parliament in such a way that it will not get passed and, finally, they will continue to be the Conservative government by proxy.
